Guest Juror Sergio Gomez
Sergio Gómez is a Chicago-based visual artist, curator and entrepreneur. He is known for his large scale figurative abstraction paintings and charcoal drawings exploring the cycles of life. Sergio’s work has been the subject of more than 45 solo exhibitions in the United States, Romania, Italy, Mexico and Vienna. He has participated in over 150 group exhibitions in Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Austria, Italy, South Korea, England, Kairo, Belgium and the United States. His work is in the collection of the National Museum of Mexican Art, Brauer Museum, and other public and private collections.
Besides his studio work, Sergio Gómez is an active curator with a career of over 100 curated exhibitions since 2010. He is curator and Director of Exhibitions at the Zhou B. Art Center, Director and founder of 33 Contemporary Gallery, co-founder of the coaching academy Art NXT Level®, and founder of Amplified Art Network.
Sergio is recognized for his online marketing expertise. In 2015. He launched the Art NXT Level podcast which is downloaded by thousands of artists each week. With over 300 episodes, his Breakfast with Sergio video show inspires and educates contemporary artists from around the world.

The Sarracenia Gallery announces a juried call for entries for our online Spring event, The Code Exhibition: Dot Dot Dot
Key Dates and Guidelines:
Any artist worldwide working in the methods of stipple and pointillism are eligible, any medium is acceptable.
Submissions must be received by May 24, 2021
Accepted artists will be notified by June 15, 2021
Please read the following guidelines. Entries that do not follow the guidelines will be rejected.
Artists may submit 2 minimum to 4 maximum pieces
Please submit images, artist statement, and a brief bio along with complete contact information: name, address, email address, and phone number to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: DOT DOT DOT Submission
High-Resolution Jpeg Images (file-size between 500 kb and 5MB - saved as compressed high-quality jpg.
Minimum size 2400 pixels, Maximum 5000 pixels at 300 dpi Files must be less than 5 MB.
Allowed file types: png jpg jpeg.
must be named using Artist Name, the title of work, size in inches, and medium.

Watermarked images will not be accepted. All images should be cropped to show the artwork only and be a clear representation of the piece.

Please submit bios and statements in the same document that includes your name in the file name. Example: John Smith Bio and Artist Statement
Bios should be 150 words or less. Artist statements should be pertinent to the work you are submitting. Please check spelling and punctuation and be sure that your written submissions are professional and concise.
Accepted entrants will be provided with and are required to sign and return a sales contract and agree to submit brief videos to enhance the exhibition and marketing initiatives according to instructions provided at the time of acceptance.
